Equity Committee Initiatives

The Equity Committee is charged with advancing equity goals in alignment with the College’s mission and values. These goals are re-evaluated every year.

This year, the Equity Committee will:

Hold student and employee listening sessions
Promote and launch the Building a Culture of Belonging Campaign
Provide leadership for the RISE Student Mentoring Program
Expand equity- and belonging-focused learning and engagement opportunities for students and employees, including book circles, intersectionality discussions, workshops, learning series, and other educational activities
Research, share, and implement promising and evidence-based practices that advance equity, belonging, and inclusive excellence in higher education
Support the Vice President for Strategic Recruitment and Engagement in identifying and cultivating partnerships with minority-serving organizations that support the Strategic Recruitment initiative and strengthen the pipeline of diverse employment applicants
Enhance and maintain the redesigned Equity website
